MATTED FUR:
All dogs should be put on a regular grooming schedule of 6-8 weeks, never exceeding 12 weeks. If left too long between grooms, your dogs fur will become tangled and matted. In this case, we will have to shave your dogs fur. There are risks involved with this process; please read carefully and understand these risks.
Since mats rest tightly on the skin, they often hide pre-existing conditions on the skin. These may include, but are not limited to, infection, fleas/ticks, wounds, hot spots, inflammation, restricted movement, blood circulation issues – specifically hematomas on the ears.
Due to the matting, we will have to use a very short blade to get between the skin and the mats – this will likely cause further irritation to the your dogs skin. We will work slowly and carefully, however, there is a chance of your dog becoming injured (nicked or cut) in the process.
By signing this waiver, you are releasing Urban Bark from any liability associated with the above mentioned process and any and all medical problems that may be uncovered and/or occur during the stripping and de-matting process.
I acknowledge that I have read and fully understand the terms and provisions of this waiver, release and indemnity and conditions and that I freely, voluntarily and unconditionally have signed the electronic signature
